Visual Narratives: Storytelling

Storytelling Workshop with Razi Uddin

Dates:
July 8, 2025, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
July 15, 2025, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Language: English
Location: Hajusom, Feldstraße 66, 20459 Hamburg
Registration: info@hajusom.de or via our website: www.hajusom.com

Who can participate? The workshop is open to everyone interested in film. Young people with a migration background are especially welcome. This is not a screenwriting workshop. It’s for people who have ideas and want to explore or develop them in a visual way. You don’t need a full concept or script, just something you’re curious about or want to work on. In this session, we focus on how to see your story before shaping it. Through simple exercises, we’ll work on how to break down your idea, imagine scenes, and draw or describe what parts of the story might look like. The goal is to make your idea more concrete, not polished, but more real and open to possibilities. The feedback we share is based on what we do in the workshop. Everyone is open to developing something during the session individually and then we open it up and discuss it together.

Duration

08.07. 17:00 – 15.07. 20:00

BEAT the STREETS - Audio Walk Workshop

One crew. Banger beats. An audio walk with JAJAJA

The performance collective JAJAJA will show you how to make a live audio walk with beats & skills.

After a short warm-up in the Feldstraßenbunker, we will wander through the city together for at least 2 hours with radio headphones and microphones. You decide the route!

We check:
What is private, what is public - and what is in between?

Where are the boundaries - and when is it worth crossing them?
We talk to people on the street,
think and talk rhythmically together
and develop cool ideas for your city.

At the end, we'll record the highlights from the walk in short video & audio clips in the Hajusom studio.

When: Saturday, June 12 | 3-7 pm
Where: Hajusom e.V., Feldstraße 66, Bunker 2nd floor, Hamburg
Costs: Free of charge!
Registration: info@hajusom.com

The Hamburg performance collective JAJAJA combines various art forms such as theater, performance, installation, visual & sound art, using unconventional spaces and technologies to create immersive experiences and resonance spaces. In doing so, they invent new performance formats and philosophical game ideas for interaction and dialog with the audience. h: Check in

Hello: Hajusom Radio LAB

Hello Hajusom: Radio LAB

Together with HELLO: Radio, we explore the possibilities of broadcasting: What do I want to hear and what do I want to say? What do people from my environment or my neighborhood say? What sounds can we record on the street and what music goes with them? We conduct interviews, produce small podcasts, go out on the street and make sound recordings and learn about audio technology and how producing and presenting a radio show works. Finally, we will go on air together, which will then be broadcast on halloradio.net

Term: June - October 2025
